Background

Youth Sport West (YSW) is an extra-curricular project co-ordinated by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership (SSRP) in association with Mayo Sligo Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSL ETB) (formally Sligo Vocational Educational Committee (VEC)). Youth Sport West has been operating successfully since 1999.

School Programmes

Youth Sport West is available to Primary and Secondary Schools in County Sligo. It offers 6 week sport/physical activity programmes delivered by qualified coaches from the Youth Sport West Database.

Coaches

Youth Sport West uses a Database of Coaches to deliver programmes in schools. All coaches are qualified to coach in the sport they deliver, are Garda Vetted and have sat the Irish Sport Councils Code of Ethics, Good Practice for Children’s Sport Course.
