Open to all level of rowers there is both a team event and an individual event to choose from. The event is open to all secondary schools in county Sligo.
The Team Event is a 2000m row for time completed by a team of 5. Teams can be all male, all female or mixed (min 2 females on the team).
The Individual Event is a max meter row in a 5 minute time cap. There are three categories to choose from in both male and female events.
Rowers can enter both the team event and the individual event.

Team Event (teams of 5) – 2000 meter row for Time (€15 per team ticket)
- U14 Girls / Boys / Mixed (1st & 2nd Years)
- U16 Girls / Boys / Mixed (3rd Years & TY)
- U18 Girls / Boys / Mixed (5th & 6th Years)
- Inclusive Row Girls / Boys / Mixed
Individual Event – Max meters in 5minutes (€3 per individual ticket)
- U14 Girls / Boys (1st & 2nd Years)
- U16 Girls / Boys (3rd Years & TY)
- U18 Girls / Boys (5th & 6th Years)
- Inclusive Row Girls / Boys
Teacher Category – Max meters in 5 minutes
- Men’s & Women’s category
The fastest team in each category for the 2000m row will receive a Pennant for their school.
The individual with the greatest meters rowed in 5 minutes from each category will receive a pendent for their school.
The event is organised as part of the Urban Outdoor Adventure Initiative, a Sport Ireland project funded through Dormant Accounts and a partnership between Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership and Sligo Rowing Club.
