Sports Capital and Equipment Programme 2021 …Closing Date 1st March, Register by the 15th Feb.

Sports Capital and Equipment Programme 2021

The deadline for applications under the scheme has been extended to Monday 1st March 2021. This is due to the ongoing evolving situation with Covid-19 restrictions. All information is available on www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie

The Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin, T.D, and the Minister of State for Sport and the Gaeltacht, Jack Chambers, T.D., recently announced (30/11/2020) that €40 million is being made available in 2021 under a new round of the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme (SCEP).

 The SCEP is the Government’s primary vehicle for providing support to sports clubs and communities to develop sports infrastructure around the country. Applications can be made online only from 9am on Friday 11th December until the extended date of 5pm on Monday 1st March 2021.

NOTE:

The first step in obtaining a grant is to register on the Department’s online system which must be done by 15th February 2021. The Ministers encouraged any clubs which are not already registered to do so now. Clubs can now register on the Department’s online system at www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie . Once registered, all applications must be made on the same website. The system will be open for applications from 11th December to 1st March 2021.

Sports Capital and Equipment 2021 Scheme Funding Workshop – Tues 9th February, 1.00-2.30pm

SSRP will be hosting a Funding Workshop on Tuesday 9thFebruary, 1.00-2.30pm next to assist Sports Clubs/Community Groups in County Sligo in making applications under the Departments Sports Capital and Equipment Programme 2021. The Scheme is currently open for applications with a closing date of Mon 1stMarch 2021. The funding workshop will be delivered online via a webinar by the ‘2into3’ group who have a strong track record in Sports Capital applications and will bring participants through the application process, best practice and provide clubs/groups with a detailed understanding of the Sports Capital process. Registration is through Eventbrite via the link HERE.

For all information on the SCEP 2021 Scheme see www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie and please note that all clubs/groups wishing to apply must have registered with the Departments online portal OSCAR before Mon 15th February 2021.
